It was decent, just not enough action. A LOT of time spent on character development - and there were a LOT of characters - and little time spent on actual doing Black Ops. Mostly background info filled the forefront. Not enough gun play, explosion...

This is a very well written and entertaining account of Japan's first woman doctor and her struggles to become one. [later addendum to my above review: I have re-read the Burgin-O'Connor translation, and now have a greater respect for it. As an example, I looked at the entries for Brighton which is a place I know well. There were days that JJ worked so much he would go for days with no sleep.
